Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide nitrogen removal equipment achieving further stable nitrogen removal, and a modification method of nitrogen removal equipment.SOLUTION: Nitrogen removal equipment 1 is provided that comprises: a reaction chamber 3 composed of a single chamber having an aerobic treatment zone A2 and an anaerobic treatment zone A1 and subjecting water to be treated W1 containing organonitrogen compounds to biological denitrification; a raw water supply pipe 8 for supplying the reaction chamber 3 with the water to be treated W1; a partition wall 15 for partitioning a liquid phase part of the reaction chamber 3 into the aerobic treatment zone A2 and the anaerobic treatment zone A1; a raw water charging port which is formed in the reaction chamber 3 and is an outlet of the raw water supply pipe 8; a communication port 19 which communicates the anaerobic treatment zone A1 with the aerobic treatment zone A2, and is provided at a position of the partition wall as distant as possible from the raw water charging port; and a circulation flow passage 11 for circulating water to be treated W2 from the aerobic treatment zone A2 to the most upstream part of the anaerobic treatment zone A1.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
