PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To load a medium at a position in which data stored in the medium can be acquired.SOLUTION: An image processing apparatus 1, including an imaging unit 15 which images the medium loaded on a mounting table; an adjacent acquisition unit 20 which adjacently acquires data stored in the medium; and a control unit 250 which controls the imaging unit and the adjacent acquisition unit, further includes storage units 30, 220 which stores a possible acquisition position (the position of the adjacent acquisition unit) in which the adjacent acquisition unit can acquire the data.
