【課題】リチウムイオン電池の加熱処理に際し、その筐体の破裂を有効に防止することができるリチウムイオン電池の処理方法を提供する。【解決手段】この発明のリチウムイオン電池の処理方法は、アルミニウムを含む筐体で包み込まれたリチウムイオン電池を、電池加熱空間に配置し、前記電池加熱空間に熱ガスを送り込むことにより、前記リチウムイオン電池を加熱して処理する方法であって、前記電池加熱空間に送り込む熱ガスの温度を450℃未満とし、熱ガスにより加熱されるリチウムイオン電池の温度が200℃〜400℃の範囲内にある間に、リチウムイオン電池の筐体内から電池ガスを流出させるとともに、当該電池ガスの流出を終了させる。【選択図】なし |
