Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the amount of winding of a sheet around a heating rotator.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus 100 comprises: an image forming part 60 that forms a toner image on a sheet P; a rotatable heating rotator 212; a rotatable pressure rotator 213 that is in pressure contact with the heating rotator to form a nip part NP at which the sheet is held and conveyed and the sheet is applied with heat and pressure to fix the toner image to the sheet; detection means 240 that is arranged on the downstream of the nip part in a sheet conveyance direction X and detects a sheet; and driving means 260 that rotates the heating rotator. When a detection time from when the detection means starts detection of a sheet to when the detection means ends the detection of a sheet is shorter than a preset time, the image forming apparatus stops the driving means.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
【課題】シートが加熱回転体へ巻き付く量を低減する。【解決手段】画像形成装置100は、シートPにトナー像を形成する画像形成部60と、回転可能な加熱回転体212と、シートを挟持し搬送するとともにシートを加熱および加圧してトナー像をシートに定着させるニップ部NPを形成するように、加熱回転体に圧接する回転可能な加圧回転体213と、シートの搬送方向Xにおいてニップ部の下流に配置され、シートを検知する検知手段240と、加熱回転体を回転させる駆動手段260と、を備え、検知手段によりシートの検知を開始してからシートの検知を終了するまでの検知時間が、設定時間より短い場合、駆動手段を停止する。【選択図】図5 |
