IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS AND IMAGE FORMING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to suppress image unevenness by suppressing an electrification charge application area where a charging device applies electrification charge and an electricity elimination light irradiation area irradiated with light from an electricity elimination lamp from overlapping with each other on a surface of a photoreceptor.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus 1 comprises a photoreceptor drum 10, a charging device 11, a main electricity elimination lamp 18, and a light blocking member 20. The charging device 11 charges a surface of the photoreceptor drum 10 at a predetermined potential. The main electricity elimination lamp 18 is arranged adjacent to the charging device 11 and irradiates the surface of the photoreceptor drum 10 with light to attenuate electrification charge.
