Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a silicon nitride ceramic excellent in impact wear resistance, and an impact wear resistant member using the same.SOLUTION: Provided is a silicon nitride ceramic in which the phenomenon that a part of crystal grains present at the profile or the like of pores is fallen or the crystal grains themselves are fallen caused by mechanical impact is reduced since a plurality of pores are present on the surface, and the average distance between the adjacent pores is 50 to 120 μm, thus the depletion on the surface of the silicon nitride ceramic when being subjected to mechanical impact is reduced.SELECTED DRAWING: None 【課題】 耐衝撃磨耗性に優れた窒化珪素質セラミックスおよびこれを用いた耐衝撃磨耗性部材を提供する。【解決手段】 本発明の窒化珪素質セラミックスは、表面に複数の気孔が存在しており、隣り合う前記気孔の平均距離が50μm以上120μm以下であることにより、機械的衝撃によって気孔の輪郭等に存在する結晶粒子の一部が脱落したり、結晶粒子そのものが脱落したりすることが少ないため、機械的衝撃を受けた際の窒化珪素質セラミックスの表面の減耗が少ないものである。【選択図】 なし
