Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carbon supported platinum catalyst having excellent oxygen reduction activity, which is a platinum core shell catalyst using palladium (Pd) as a core metal or a platinum alloy catalyst containing platinum and a metal other than platinum and to provide a production method capable of producing such a catalyst by industrial mass-production.SOLUTION: There is provided a method for producing a platinum catalyst for a fuel cell which contains platinum and a metal other than platinum, which comprises: (I) a step of allowing a chemical species applying a potential higher than a platinum oxide formation start potential of the platinum catalyst to be present; and (II) a step of allowing a chemical species applying a potential lower than a platinum oxide formation start potential of the platinum catalyst to be present, in a dispersion solution in which a platinum catalyst is dispersed in an acidic solution containing protons.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7 【課題】コア金属としてパラジウム(Pd)を用いた白金コアシェル触媒や、白金と白金以外の金属とを含む白金合金触媒であって、酸素還元活性に優れたカーボン担持白金触媒、及び、かかる触媒を工業的に量産化可能な方法で得るための製造方法を提供することを目的とする。【解決手段】白金と白金以外の金属とを含む燃料電池用の白金触媒の製造方法であって、プロトンを含む酸性溶液に白金触媒を分散した分散溶液中に、(I)前記白金触媒の白金の酸化物生成開始電位よりも高い電位を与える化学種を存在させる工程と、(II)前記白金触媒の白金の酸化物還元開始電位よりも低い電位を与える化学種を存在させる工程と、を含む、白金触媒の製造方法。【選択図】図7
