MEMBRANE SEPARATION APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a membrane separation apparatus equipped with an air diffuser capable of uniformly cleaning a membrane element.SOLUTION: A membrane separation apparatus 100 for filtering a liquid to be treated to obtain a treated liquid comprises: a membrane element 4 for filtering the liquid to be treated with film-like filtration membranes for filtering the liquid to be treated to obtain the treated liquid, which is provided with the filtration membranes in a state forming a pair of extending surfaces facing each other to form an outline; a membrane module 5 which is provided with the plurality of membrane elements 4 arranged horizontally with a space of an intermembrane passage in a state where the extending surfaces of the membrane element 4 are along the vertical direction; a membrane separation tank 3 provided with the membrane module 5 therein; and air diffusing pipes 1, 2, 3 having aeration holes for aerating the liquid to be treated in the intermembrane passage.
