PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that enables easy attachment of a post-installation device to an apparatus body.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus comprises: a housing to which an image forming part is attached; a substrate that supports an image reading device separated from the housing; engaging holes at which engaging parts formed projecting on an attachment target surface of a post-installation device are engaged and positioned onto an attachment surface of the housing to which the post-installation device is attached; and a guide part to which a guide part formed projecting on the attachment target surface of the post-installation device is inserted and guided.
