GATE-CUTTING METHOD AND GATE-CUTTING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gate-cutting method capable of preventing an occurrence of a defective cutting.SOLUTION: A gate-cutting method includes: a preparation step S1 for preparing a molding M having a useful part P and an unnecessary part U which is connected to the useful part P through a gate G having a notch NT; a holding step S3 for holding the molding M on a holder 10; and a separation step S5 for separating the useful part P from the molding M. In the separation step S5, the useful part P is pressed against a first and a second projection 22, 23 from the opening end OE side to bend the gate G and the useful part P is pressed against a brush 27 from a closing end CE side to bend the gate G, thereby cutting the gate G from the notch NT as a starting point.
