PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a performance device whose structure and method of use are simple, and which has an advanced function as a performance device for elevating an atmospheric mood, and can be used in an event, etc. at various sites regardless of the ceiling height.SOLUTION: A performance device includes a tubular accommodation unit 12, a message member 14 accommodated in the accommodation unit 12 in a normal time, which expands by jumping out of the accommodation unit 12, and driving means for pushing the message member 14 accommodated in the accommodation unit 12 out of the accommodation unit 12 so as to protrude therefrom. The driving means includes a pressure plate 16 and an elastic body (spring) 18 disposed inside the accommodation unit 12.
