Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical encoder that is equipped with a pattern scale stuck to a hub member with a photo-curing adhesive and can increase adhesion strength and long-term reliability even if the pattern scale is metal-made.SOLUTION: A through hole 21 is bored into the adhesive face of a metal-made pattern scale 16 given a ring-shaped modulation pattern 22, and adhesive 23 entering into this through hole 21 and having cured is fixed onto a hub member 17 by a force of being caught by the pattern scale 16 like an anchor.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 【課題】パターンスケールが金属製であっても接着強度と長期信頼性を高めることができる、ハブ部材に光硬化型接着剤で接着されるパターンスケールを備えた光学式エンコーダを提供する。【解決手段】リング状の変調パターン２２が設けられた金属製パターンスケール１６の接着面に貫通穴２１を設け、この貫通孔穴２１に入り込んで硬化した接着材２３がパターンスケール１６に錨のように引っ掛かる力により、ハブ部材１７に固定する。【選択図】図２
