Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering device which suppresses the deterioration of durability resulting from abrasion powder between a rack and a pinion.SOLUTION: A pinion shaft 5 includes a first end 51 which protrudes from a pinion housing 3, and a second end 52 having an end face 52a which opposes a bottom 3b of the pinion housing 3. A pinion 5b of the pinion shaft 5 at an external peripheral face 5a is geared and engaged with a rack 4b of a rack shaft 4 in the pinion housing 3. A second end support mechanism 20 rotatably supports the second end 52 of the pinion shaft 5 by only the end face 52a of the second end 52. The second end support mechanism 20 includes a recess 21 which is formed at the end face 52a of the second end 52, and a protrusion 22 which is arranged at the bottom 3b of the pinion housing 3. The protrusion 22 is inserted into the recess 21, and indirectly slides with an internal face 21a of the recess 21 via a slide member 23.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
