PROCESSING EQUIPMENT AND PROCESSING METHOD OF CASTING SAND

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide processing equipment and a processing method of casting sand capable of improving cooling of the casting and uniformization of moisture, by leveling a quantity of casting sand inputted to a sand cooler.SOLUTION: Processing equipment comprises a sand hopper for temporarily storing supplied casting sand, a sand carrying conveyor for carrying the casting sand stored in the sand hopper, water sprinkling means for sprinkling water on the casting sand in carrying by the sand carrying conveyor and a sand cooler for cooling while agitating the water-sprinkled casting sand supplied from the sand carrying conveyor, and the sand hopper is attached with upper part sand detection means for detecting the existence of the casting sand of an upper part in the sand hopper, lower part sand detection means for detecting the existence of casting sand of a lower part in the sand hopper and medium part sand detection means for detecting the existence of casting sand of a medium part being a position between the upper part and the lower part in the sand hopper, and a carrying speed of the casting sand in the sand carrying conveyor is varied based on a signal from the medium part sand detection means.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】 砂冷却装置に投入される鋳物砂の量を平準化することにより、該鋳物砂の冷却、及び、水分の均一化を向上させることができる鋳物砂の処理設備及び処理方法を提供する。【解決手段】 供給される鋳物砂を一時的に貯蔵する砂ホッパと、砂ホッパに貯蔵された鋳物砂を搬送する砂搬送コンベヤと、砂搬送コンベヤで搬送中の鋳物砂に散水する散水手段と、砂搬送コンベヤから供給される散水された鋳物砂を撹拌しながら冷却する砂冷却装置と、を具備し、砂ホッパには、砂ホッパ内における上位部の鋳物砂の有無を検知する上位部砂検知手段と、砂ホッパ内における下位部の鋳物砂の有無を検知する下位部砂検知手段と、砂ホッパ内における上位部と下位部の間の位置である中位部の鋳物砂の有無を検知する中位部砂検知手段と、が装着されており、中位部砂検知手段からの信号に基づいて砂搬送コンベヤにおける鋳物砂の搬送速度を可変させる。【選択図】 図１
