Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric drum brake for suppressing that a brake cable is pulled by excess tension by suppressing variation between an upper limit value and a lower limit value of tension of the brake cable when braking force is generated in comparison with a conventional manner.SOLUTION: In a tension increasing rate suppression device 86, variation between an upper limit value and a lower limit value of cable pulling force F of a brake cable 54 is suppressed in comparison with a conventional manner when braking force is generated since a spring 84 is elastically deformed and an increasing rate of the cable pulling force F is suppressed when the cable pulling force F becomes larger than a predetermined value F1. In addition, it is suppressed that the brake cable 54 is pulled by excess cable pulling force F in comparison with the conventional manner since the upper limit value of the cable pulling force F when the braking force is generated becomes lower by a fact that the variation between the upper limit value and the lower limit value of the cable pulling force F is suppressed in comparison with the conventional manner.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 【課題】従来に比較して、制動力を発生させる時におけるブレーキケーブルの張力の上限値と下限値とのばらつきを抑制させ、ブレーキケーブルが過剰な張力で引っ張られることを抑制する電動式ドラムブレーキを提供する。【解決手段】張力増加率抑制装置86では、ブレーキケーブル54のケーブル引き力Fが所定値F1より大きくなるとスプリング84が弾性変形させられてケーブル引き力Fの増加率が抑制させられるので、制動力を発生させる時にケーブル引き力Fの上限値と下限値とのばらつきが従来に比べ抑制させられる。また、ケーブル引き力Fの上限値と下限値とのばらつきが従来に比べて抑制させられることによって、制動力を発生させる時のケーブル引き力Fの上限値が低くなるので、ブレーキケーブル54が従来に比較して過剰なケーブル引き力Fで引っ張られることが抑制される。【選択図】図4
