PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that reduces the concentration of ozone without causing a cleaning failure.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus comprises: charging means (3) that charges a surface of a latent image carrier; air-blowing means (21) that blows an air to the vicinity of the charging means; first detection means (31) that detects the temperature of the air blown to the vicinity of the charging means; and second detection means (32) that detects the temperature in the vicinity of the charging means.
