Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transportation unit capable of accurately acquiring a transportation amount of a medium transported, and a printer provided with the transportation unit and a transportation amount acquisition method.SOLUTION: A transportation unit comprises: a transportation section transporting continuous form paper by a transportation roller in a transportation direction intersecting with an axial direction of the transportation roller; an imaging section 32 having a plurality of light receiving elements 34 arranged in each direction of a first direction A intersecting with the axial direction and a second direction B intersecting with the first direction A and imaging the continuous form paper transported by the transportation section; and a transportation amount acquisition section 39 acquiring a transportation amount of the continuous form paper in the transportation direction on the basis of an image imaged by the imaging section 32. The transportation amount acquisition section 39 acquires the transportation amount of the continuous form paper by correcting a movement amount of the continuous form paper in the first direction A by a correction value varying according to an orientation of the first direction A.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
