PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article with improved diffusibility of liquid on an absorber.SOLUTION: An absorbent article 10 includes: a liquid permeable surface sheet 14; a liquid impermeable rear surface sheet 12; and an absorber 13 arranged between the surface sheet 14 and the rear surface sheet 12. In the absorber 13, a plurality of recesses 508 are formed on surface on the side of the surface sheet 14. The plurality of recesses 508 form a first pattern 501a extending in a first direction and a second pattern 501b extending in a second direction crossing the first direction.
