PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress a cost of replacing a transmission type liquid crystal display device in a merchandise storage device having the transmission type liquid crystal display device.SOLUTION: A merchandise storage device comprises: a casing which is installed in such a manner that merchandise is displayed and stored so as to be visible from the front side or which allows samples of merchandise that is stored to be visible from the front side; and a transmission type liquid crystal display device 9 arranged on the front face of the casing.
