Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production method and a production device capable of stably and continuously producing a spherical glass material of a small diameter while suppressing jamming of a nozzle, by which the spherical glass material of the small diameter is produced by dripping melting glass using the nozzle, and by dropping and freezing glass liquid drop formed by this.SOLUTION: In the production method of the spherical glass material in which a specified quantity of the melting glass Ga is dropped from a tip of a nozzle part 30C, and a glass liquid drop is formed, and the spherical glass material G is formed by freezing in a spherical form while dropping the glass liquid drop Gb, the melting glass Ga is forcefully dropped by the nozzle part 30C by collecting to the tip of the nozzle part 30C and blowing gas flowing in a gas supply tube 40 arranged in the same axis as the tip of the nozzle part 30C in a circumference of the nozzle part 30C.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 【課題】ノズルを用いて溶融ガラスを滴下させ、これによって形成されたガラス液滴を落下させながら凝固させることにより、小径の球状硝材を製造する球状硝材の製造方法および製造装置であって、ノズルの詰まりを抑制しつつ安定して連続的に製造することが可能な球状硝材の製造方法および製造装置を提供する。【解決手段】所定量の溶融ガラスGaをノズル部30Cの先端より滴下させてガラス液滴Gbを形成し、ガラス液滴Gbを落下させながら球状に凝固させることにより球状硝材Gを形成する、球状硝材の製造方法であって、ノズル部30Cの周囲においてノズル部30Cと同軸上に配置されるガス供給管40の内部を流動するガスを、ノズル部30Cの先端に集束させて吹き付けることにより、溶融ガラスGaをノズル部30Cより強制的に滴下させる。【選択図】図2
