Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic recording head achieving a stable high-frequency assist and enabling high recording density, and a disk device provided therewith.SOLUTION: A magnetic recording head comprises: an air bearing surface 43; a main magnetic pole 60 having a leading end portion 60b extending to the air bearing surface and generating a recording magnetic field; a write shield 62 facing the leading end portion of the main magnetic pole with a write gap interposed therebetween and constituting a magnetic core together with the main magnetic pole; and a high frequency oscillator 65 being provided between the main magnetic pole and the write shield in the write gap and connected to the main magnetic pole and the write shield. The high frequency oscillator includes: a spin injection layer 65a laminated in a head traveling direction; an intermediate layer 65b; and an oscillation layer 65c. The oscillation layer and the spin injection layer individually have lamination surfaces extending in a direction intersecting with the air bearing surface. A film thickness of the spin injection layer at a height position spaced apart from the air bearing surface in the head traveling direction is formed to be thicker than a film thickness of the spin injection layer in the air bearing surface in the head traveling direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
【課題】安定した高周波アシストを実現し、高記録密度化を可能とする磁気記録ヘッドおよびこれを備えたディスク装置を提供する。【解決手段】実施形態によれば、磁気記録ヘッドは、空気支持面43と、空気支持面まで延びる先端部60bを有し、記録磁界を発生する主磁極60と、主磁極の先端部にライトギャップを置いて対向し、主磁極とともに磁気コアを構成するライトシールド62と、ライトギャップ内で主磁極とライトシールドとの間に設けられ、主磁極およびライトシールドに接続された高周波発振子65と、を備えている。高周波発振子は、ヘッド走行方向に積層されたスピン注入層65a、中間層65b、および発振層65cを有し、発振層およびスピン注入層は、空気支持面と交差する方向に延びる積層面をそれぞれ有している。空気支持面から離間した高さ位置でのスピン注入層のヘッド走行方向の膜厚は、空気支持面でのスピン注入層のヘッド走行方向の膜厚よりも厚く形成されている。【選択図】図5 |
