A method manufactures a tool having a work plane and a cooling hole for passing the cooling water. The tool manufacturing method prepares the tool formed with the cooling hole, and performs an oxidation treatment by performing exposure to steam of 480 to 600°C thereby to form the magnetite layer on the surface to contact the cooling water in that cooling hole.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
【課題】冷却孔の表面の耐食性に優れた工具およびその製造方法を提供する。【解決手段】作業面と、冷却水を通すための冷却孔とを有する工具であって、この冷却孔の冷却水と接する表面にマグネタイト層を有した工具である。そして、作業面と、冷却水を通すための冷却孔とを有する工具の製造方法であって、冷却孔が形成された工具を用意し、480〜600℃の水蒸気に曝すことによる酸化処理を行って、その冷却孔の冷却水と接する表面にマグネタイト層を形成する工具の製造方法である。【選択図】図1 |
