Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connecting portion mechanically attached to an attachment tool, a joint, a connector, a joint pipe and the like used in a fluid system or a fluid circuit.SOLUTION: A device and a method for a connecting portion mechanically attached to a conduit, may include a conduit gripping member (34), a driving member (36) and a seal member (48'), and the driving member causes axial movement of the conduit gripping member to indent into an outer surface of the conduit when an assembly is pulled up, thus a zero clearance seal is formed on the seal member at a location axially separating from the conduit gripping member. The zero clearance seal may include a surface seal arrangement including a gasket, the conduit gripping member may be a ferrule, a ring or other device which grips the conduit outer surface, and optionally seals against the same.
