Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly secure exhaust purification performance of an exhaust emission control device, necessary output of an engine and the like according to various operating states, in restoration of combustion to restart combustion of a fuel from a fuel cut state.SOLUTION: An engine control device includes: an intake passage 4 and an exhaust passage 5 connected to a combustion chamber 2; a fuel injection device 6; an exhaust gas re-circulation device 10 for introducing a recirculation gas to intake air through an exhaust recirculation passage 11; an exhaust adjustment valve 20 for adjusting a flow rate of the exhaust flowing in the exhaust passage 5; a re-circulation gas adjustment valve 13 for adjusting a flow rate of a re-circulation gas in the exhaust re-circulation passage 11; and combustion restoration state discriminating means for discriminating the type of restoration of whether transfer to the combustion state is natural restoration for restarting combustion in a state that a rotating speed of an engine 1 is a prescribed value or less, in transferring from a fuel cut state to the combustion state. The engine control device controls an operation of the exhaust adjustment valve 20 and the recirculation gas adjustment valve 13 on the basis of the type of restoration discriminated by the combustion restoration state discriminating means.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 【課題】燃料カット状態から燃料の燃焼を再開させる燃焼復帰時において、種々の運転状況に応じて、排気浄化装置での排気の浄化性能、エンジンの必要な出力等を適切に確保する。【解決手段】燃焼室2に接続される吸気通路4及び排気通路5と、燃料噴射装置6と、排気還流通路11を通じて還流ガスを吸気に導入する排気ガス再循環装置10と、排気通路5を流れる排気の流量を調整する排気調整弁20と、排気還流通路11の還流ガスの流量を調整する還流ガス調整弁13と、燃料カット状態から燃焼状態へと移行する際に、その燃焼状態への移行が、エンジン1の回転数が所定以下となって燃焼を再開させる自然復帰であるか否かの復帰種別を判別する燃焼復帰状態判別手段とを備え、燃焼復帰状態判別手段により判別された前記復帰種別に基づいて、排気調整弁20及び還流ガス調整弁13の動作を制御するエンジンの制御装置とした。【選択図】図3
