REFRACTORY AND PLATE FOR SLIDING NOZZLE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refractory which contains AlOC, has AlOC specific characteristics such as low thermal expansion and low elastic modulus and dense and firm matrix and can be inhibited from extremely degrading caused by large deterioration of AlOC due to heat receiving during casting, and to provided a plate for a sliding nozzle using the refractory.SOLUTION: There is provided the refractory which contains AlOC, AlO, free carbon and SiO, the content of AlOC being 15 mass% to 40 mass%, the content of the free carbon being 3 mass% to 7 mass%, the content of SiObeing 1 mass% to 5 mass%, the mass ratio of SiO/AlOC being 0.025 to 0.20 and the total content of AlOC, AlOand the free carbon being 90 mass% or more.SELECTED DRAWING: None 【課題】Ａｌ４Ｏ４Ｃを含有する耐火物であって、低熱膨張率、低弾性率というＡｌ４Ｏ４Ｃ固有の特徴を有していると共に、緻密で強固なマトリックスを持ち、鋳造中の受熱によるＡｌ４Ｏ４Ｃの大幅な変質による著しい劣化も抑制できる耐火物、及びその耐火物を使用したスライディングノズル用プレートを提供する。【解決手段】Ａｌ４Ｏ４Ｃ、Ａｌ２Ｏ３、フリーの炭素及びＳｉＯ２を含有し、Ａｌ４Ｏ４Ｃの含有量が１５質量％以上４０質量％以下、フリーの炭素の含有量が３質量％以上７質量％以下、ＳｉＯ２の含有量が１質量％以上５質量％以下、ＳｉＯ２／Ａｌ４Ｏ４Ｃの質量比が０．０２５以上０．２０以下であり、かつ、Ａｌ４Ｏ４Ｃ、Ａｌ２Ｏ３及びフリーの炭素の含有量の合計が９０質量％以上である耐火物。【選択図】なし
