Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a secondary battery, by which the occurrence of warp in a laminate constituting part of a battery can be suppressed, and an active material of the laminate can be densified.SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing a secondary battery is arranged so as to press a laminate 1 including a piece of conductive metal foil 3, active material layers 2A and 2B formed on opposing faces of the conductive metal foil respectively, and an uncoated part 1B with no active material coating, which makes part of the piece of conductive metal foil 3, thereby densifying an active material of the laminate. In the method, a pair of press rolls 5A and 5B are provided for pressing the laminate 1 from both sides. The pair of press rolls 5A and 5B each have: a first press part 51 for pressing an active material part 1A; and a second press part 52 for pressing the uncoated part 1B. The second press part 52 has a convex portion 53 arranged to protrude for decreasing the difference in size between the active material part 1A and the uncoated part 1B in the laminate 1 in a thickness direction. In a state in which the laminate 1 is pressed by the pair of press rolls 5A and 5B from both the sides, the active material part 1A is compressed by the first press parts 51, and the uncoated part 1B is compressed by the convex portions 53 of the second press parts 52.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
【課題】電池を構成する積層体に生じる反りの発生を抑制し、かつ積層体の活物質を高密度化することができる。【解決手段】導電性金属箔3の両面に活物質層2A、2Bが形成され、導電性金属箔3のうち活物質が塗工されていない未塗工部1Bを有する積層体1をプレスして高密度化する二次電池の製造方法であって、積層体1を両面側からプレスする一対のプレスロール5A、5Bが設けられ、プレスロール5A、5Bは、活物質部1Aをプレスする第1プレス部51と、未塗工部1Bをプレスする第2プレス部52とを有し、第2プレス部52には積層体1における活物質部1Aと未塗工部1Bの厚さ方向の寸法差を小さくするように突出する凸部53を有し、プレスロール5A、5Bによって積層体1の両面側からプレスした状態で、第1プレス部51で活物質部1Aを圧縮し、第2プレス部52の凸部53で未塗工部1Bを圧縮するようにした。【選択図】図1 |
