PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the generation of a floating toner generated when a guide member for guiding a recording material is adopted while accompanied with a movement operation.SOLUTION: A conveying device includes: a first route member 41 for guiding a recording material toward a transfer part Tp and the like for forming a toner image; a shield member 43 provided facing the first route member 41 to guide a paper sheet P and performing an operation to separate from the first route member 41 and the operation to come into contact with the first route member 41; and a reducing part 432 for suppressing an air flow directed to the transfer part Tp and the like generated accompanied with the operation to separate from and the operation to come into contact with the shield member 43.
