RETAINED WATER REMOVAL METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a retained water removal method capable of removing polluted water retained in a lower part in a complicated piping system which has difference in elevation while preventing diffusion of radiation contamination.SOLUTION: The retained water removal method includes: a retained water position estimation step to estimate a position of retained water 4 containing radioactive matter in a piping 7; a retained water absorption step to absorb the retained water by introducing an absorbent 8a characterized to inflate in a radial direction of the piping by absorbing water in the piping to the position of the retained water; and a retained water removal step to collect the absorbent having absorbed the retained water in the retained water absorption step out of the piping.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5 【課題】配管系統が複雑で尚且つ高低差を有している配管の低位部位に滞留している汚染水を、放射能汚染の拡大を防止しつつ配管から除去することができる滞留水除去方法を提供する。【解決手段】放射性物質を含む滞留水４の配管７の中における位置を推定する滞留水位置推定工程と、前記配管に導入して吸水すると前記配管の径方向に膨張する構成を有する吸水材８ａを、前記滞留水の位置に導入して前記滞留水を吸水する滞留水吸水工程と、前記滞留水吸水工程で前記滞留水を吸水した前記吸水材を前記配管の外へ回収する滞留水除去工程と、を有する【選択図】図５
