PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sponge working device 1 capable of easily working a long-size shaped prismatic urethane sponge 11 into a substantially long-size columnar or substantially long-size cylindrical shape.SOLUTION: A sponge working device 1 includes: a sponge supporting member 21 which supports a prismatic urethane sponge 11; a heating wire stretching member 31 made by stretching a heating wire 36 on tips of an upper side stretching frame 33 and a lower side stretching frame 34 arranged side by side across a prescribed interval; and a voltage supplying means which applies a voltage for the heating wire 36, the prismatic urethane sponge 11 being melted by the heating wire 36 and being worked. Therein, a rotation driving unit 23 which turns the sponge support member 21 is provided, a length of the heating wire 36 between the upper side stretching frame 33 and the lower side stretching frame 34 is set to be 1200 mm and the heating wire stretching member 31 is provided with an upper side spring 37 and a lower side spring 38 which energize the heating wire 36 in a tension direction of the heating wire 36.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 【課題】長尺形状の角柱形ウレタンスポンジ１１を、略長尺円柱状または略長尺円筒状に容易に加工できるスポンジ加工装置１を提供することを目的とする。【解決手段】角柱形ウレタンスポンジ１１を支持するスポンジ支持部材２１と、所定間隔を隔てて並置した上側張架フレーム３３、及び下側張架フレーム３４の先端に電熱線３６を張架した電熱線張架部材３１と、電熱線３６に対して電圧を印加する電圧供給手段とを備え、電熱線３６によって角柱形ウレタンスポンジ１１を溶融して加工するスポンジ加工装置１であって、スポンジ支持部材２１を回動させる回転駆動ユニット２３を備え、上側張架フレーム３３と下側張架フレーム３４との間における電熱線３６の長さを、１２００ｍｍとし、電熱線張架部材３１に、電熱線３６の引張方向に電熱線３６を付勢する上側スプリング３７、及び下側スプリング３８を備えたことを特徴とする。【選択図】図２
