Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent abrasion of a grinding member such as a grindstone, in a process of grinding a honeycomb structure, when manufacturing a ceramic filter.SOLUTION: A honeycomb structure for providing a sealing port part in a first end part 120a and a second end part 120b in the lengthwise direction, is rotatingly driven around the first axis L1, and the honeycomb structure is ground by moving a first rotary grindstone 20 or a second rotary grindstone 10 capable of controlling a distance from the first axis L1 in the direction toward the second end part 120b from the first end part 120a of the honeycomb structure, and the first rotary grindstone 20 includes a preliminary grinding process of grinding a hard part harder than the second rotary grindstone 10 and including the first end part 120a and the second end part 120b of the honeycomb structure by using the first rotary grindstone 20 and a regular grinding process of grinding the honeycomb structure by using the second rotary grindstone 10.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 【課題】セラミックフィルタを製造する際に、ハニカム構造体を研削する工程において、砥石等の研削部材の摩耗を防止する。【解決手段】長手方向に第1の端部120a及び第2の端部120bに封口部が設けられたハニカム構造体を第1の軸L1の周りに回転駆動し、ハニカム構造体の第1の端部120aから第2の端部120bに向かう方向に、第1の軸L1からの距離を制御可能な第1の回転砥石20又は第2の回転砥石10を移動させて前記ハニカム構造体を研削し、第1の回転砥石20は第2の回転砥石10より硬く、第1の回転砥石20を用いてハニカム構造体の第1の端部120a及び第2の端部120bを含む硬い部分を研削する予備研削工程と、第2の回転砥石10を用いてハニカム構造体を研削する本研削工程とを含む。【選択図】図4
