Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite metal oxide catalyst which is used when conjugated diene is produced from a gaseous mixture containing a monoolefin having 4 or more carbon atoms and an oxygen-containing gas by a vapor-phase catalytic oxidative dehydrogenation reaction, which has an excellent conversion ratio of the monoolefin and which can also improve selectivity of the desired conjugated diene.SOLUTION: The composite metal oxide catalyst is used when the conjugated diene is produced from the gaseous mixture containing the monoolefin having 4 or more carbon atoms and the oxygen-containing gas by the vapor-phase catalytic oxidative dehydrogenation reaction. The composite metal oxide catalyst contains an oxide of molybdenum, an oxide of rubidium, and silica, where relative to 12 atoms of the molybdenum, an atomic ratio of the rubidium is 0.1-0.5 and a content of silicon in the composite metal oxide catalyst is 0.1-30 wt.%.SELECTED DRAWING: None 【課題】炭素原子数4以上のモノオレフィンと酸素含有ガスを含む混合ガスから気相接触酸化脱水素反応により共役ジエンを製造する際に使用する複合金属酸化物触媒として、モノオレフィンの転化率に優れ、且つ所望とする共役ジエンの選択率も向上が可能となる複合金属酸化物触媒を提供することを目的とする。【解決手段】炭素原子数4以上のモノオレフィンと酸素含有ガスを含む混合ガスから気相接触酸化脱水素反応により共役ジエンを製造する際に用いる複合金属酸化物触媒であり、該複合金属酸化物触媒がモリブデンの酸化物、ルビジウムの酸化物及びシリカを含有し、モリブデン12原子に対する、ルビジウム原子比が0.1〜0.5であり、該複合金属酸化物触媒中、ケイ素含有量が0.1重量%〜30重量%である複合金属酸化物触媒。【選択図】なし
