PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting device and an illumination device, capable of suppressing power consumption to service life notification.SOLUTION: A lighting device 1 comprises: a lighting circuit 2 which turns on a light source 7; power feeding detecting means 4 for detecting a power feeding state to the lighting circuit 2; notifying means 3 for notifying a user of a service time; time counting means 5 for counting cumulative lighting time of the light source 7; and control means 6 for controlling the notifying means 3 so as to notify the user of a service time by residual power of the lighting circuit 2 when the power feeding means 4 detects cutoff of power feeding to the lighting circuit 2 after the cumulative lighting time counted by the time counting means 5 has passed a prescribed value.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】寿命報知に対する消費電力を抑制可能な点灯装置および照明装置を提供する。【解決手段】点灯装置１は、光源７を点灯する点灯回路２と、点灯回路２への給電状態を検出する給電検出手段４と、寿命報知をする報知手段３と、光源７の累積点灯時間を計時する計時手段５と、計時手段５が計時した累積点灯時間が所定値を経過しているときに、給電検出手段４が点灯回路２への給電の遮断を検出すると、点灯回路２の残存電力によって寿命報知をするように報知手段３を制御する制御手段６と、を具備している。【選択図】図１
