Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and method for counting the number of round bars, capable of counting the number of round bars such as a round-bar steel with high accuracy.SOLUTION: A device for counting the number of round bars includes: a conveyance unit 10 configured to convey a round bar to a direction vertical to a direction in which the round bar extends; two distance meters 11a, 11b provided with a conveyance path of a round bar conveyed by the conveyance unit 10 therebetween, and configured to measure distances to a passing round bar; and a control unit 12 configured to calculate a thickness of a round bar passing between the two distance meters 11a, 11b from the measurement results of the distance meters 11a, 11b, and on the basis of the calculated thickness, count the number of round bars to be conveyed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】丸棒鋼等の丸棒の本数を高い精度で計数することができる丸棒の本数計数装置および本数計数方法を提供すること。【解決手段】丸棒を丸棒が延在する方向に対して垂直な方向に搬送する搬送部10と、搬送部10にて搬送される丸棒の搬送経路を挟んで設けられ、通過する丸棒までの距離をそれぞれ測定する2台の距離計11a,11bと、距離計11a,11bの測定結果から2台の距離計11a,11bの間を通過する丸棒の厚みを算出し、算出された厚みに基づいて、搬送される丸棒の本数を計数する制御部12とを有する。【選択図】 図1
