Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a material capable of suppressing deterioration of a capacity maintenance rate even in a cycle test of a high voltage and a lithium ion battery using the material, without loosing output characteristics of a battery.SOLUTION: A lithium ion battery comprises a positive electrode, a negative electrode, a separator, and an electrolytic solution. The positive electrode has a collector and a positive electrode mixture formed to the collector, and the positive electrode mixture includes a cobaltic acid lithium and an inorganic particle. The inorganic particle includes an aluminum oxide, a BET specific surface area obtained by a nitrogen adsorption measurement at 77K of the inorganic particle is equal to or more than 1 m/g or and equal to or less than 50 m/g, and a part or a whole of a surface of the inorganic particle is coated with a carbon.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
