PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To further accurately determine a downward look of a driver.SOLUTION: A downward look determination device comprises: a storage unit which stores a three-dimensional face model in which a three-dimensional face shape of a subject and positions of eyes of the subject are registered; a check unit which checks a captured image of a driver from the three-dimensional face shape every time an imaging device captures an image of the driver to determine the face direction; and a downward look determination unit which determines whether or not the downward change of the face direction synchronizes with the downward change of a visual line direction of the driver and if they synchronize, determines that the driver is in a downward look state.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 【課題】より正確な運転者の下方視判定を行うこと。【解決手段】下方視判定装置は、被験者の三次元顔形状と、被験者の目の位置とが登録された三次元顔モデルを記憶する記憶部と、撮像装置で運転者を撮像するごとに、撮像された運転者の撮像画像を、逐次、三次元顔形状と照合して、顔の向きを特定する照合部と、顔の向きの下方への変化と、運転者の視線方向の下方への変化とが同期しているか否かを判断し、同期している場合に、運転者は下方視状態であると判定する下方視判定部と、を備えた。【選択図】図４
