Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust emission control device of an engine capable of properly increasing temperature of a first exhaust emission control catalyst and a second exhaust emission control catalyst.SOLUTION: When executing regeneration processing of repeating a cycle comprising a rich period and a lean period and regenerating a first exhaust emission control catalyst and a second exhaust emission control catalyst, an exhaust emission control device of an engine sets a target average air-fuel ratio for each one cycle of an air-fuel ratio of exhaust gas discharged from the second exhaust emission control catalyst, and also determines a fuel amount injected from a fuel injection valve as a post injection for the rich period on the basis of the target average air-fuel ratio.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 【課題】第1の排気浄化触媒及び第2の排気浄化触媒を適切に昇温させることができるエンジンの排気浄化装置を提供する。【解決手段】リッチ期間とリーン期間とからなるサイクルを繰り返して第1の排気浄化触媒及び第2の排気浄化触媒を再生する再生処理を実行する際に、第2の排気浄化触媒から排出される排気の空燃比の1サイクル毎の目標平均空燃比を設定すると共に、この目標平均空燃比に基づいてリッチ期間にポスト噴射として燃料噴射弁から噴射される燃料量を決定する。【選択図】図4
