PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently consume a deteriorated toner inside a developing device through toner forcible consumption control while suppressing adhesion of a carrier.SOLUTION: A control part starts toner forcible consumption control of causing a toner in a developing case to be adhered to a latent image carrier to forcibly consume the toner in the developing case at a predetermined toner forcible consumption timing while stopping supply of toner by toner supply means, terminates the toner forcible consumption control when the toner density of the developer inside the developing case reaches a normal toner density that has been set lower than a target toner density on the basis of a result of the detection by toner density detection means, and subsequently executes post-toner forcible consumption toner supply control of controlling the toner supply means to supply a toner to the developing case.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】キャリア付着を抑制しつつ、トナー強制消費制御により現像装置内の劣化トナーを効率よく消費することを課題とする。【解決手段】制御部は、所定のトナー強制消費タイミングに、トナー補給手段によるトナー補給を停止した状態で、潜像担持体上に現像ケース内のトナーを付着させて現像ケース内のトナーを強制的に消費させるトナー強制消費制御を開始し、トナー濃度検知手段の検知結果に基づいて現像ケース内の現像剤中のトナー濃度が目標トナー濃度よりも低く設定されている規定トナー濃度に達したらトナー強制消費制御を終了し、その後に、トナー補給手段を制御して現像ケースへトナーを補給するトナー強制消費後トナー補給制御を実行する。【選択図】図１
