OPTICAL FIBER RIBBON AND OPTICAL FIBER CABLE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber ribbon that has an excellent flame retardancy and excellent transmission characteristics.SOLUTION: An optical fiber ribbon 1 comprises: a plurality of primary coated optical fibers 3 arranged side by side; an inner layer 5 enclosing the primary coated optical fibers 3; and an outer layer 7 covering the inner layer 5. The outer layer 7 is made of resin. The inner layer 5 is formed of a flame-retardant grease with the addition of a flame retardant to a base oil and having a consistency of 440 or less at room temperature, a consistency of 200 or more at -50°C, and an oxygen index of 25 or more. A mineral oil, a synthetic hydrocarbon oil, a diphenyl ether oil, esters, glycols, and so on are used as the base oil. A phosphate ester, a phosphonate ester, phosphine oxides, a flame-retardant-nitrogen-containing hetero ring ethylenically unsaturated compound, a phosphorus-containing acrylate, a methacrylate functional oligomer, a metalhydroxide, a metal carbonate, a metal oxide, and so on are used as the flame-retardant grease.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】難燃性と伝送特性に優れた光ファイバテープ心線を提供する。【解決手段】光ファイバテープ心線１は、並設された複数本の光ファイバ素線３と、光ファイバ素線３を包み込む内層５と、内層５を覆う外層７とを有し、外層７は樹脂で形成され、内層５は、ベース油に難燃剤を添加してなる、室温での稠度４４０以下、−５０℃での稠度２００以上、酸素指数２５以上の難燃性グリースで形成される。ベース油としては、ベース油が、鉱油、合成炭化水素油、ジフェニルエーテル油、エステル類、グリコール類などであり、難燃性グリースとしては、リン酸エステル、ホスホン酸エステル、ホスフィンオキシド類、難燃性窒素含有へテロ環状エチレン性不飽和化合物、リン含有アクリレート、メタクリレート官能性オリゴマー、金属水酸化物、金属炭酸塩、金属酸化物などである。【選択図】図１
