Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust gas processing base material provided in an exhaust gas system of an internal combusTion engine, a system and a method of including this exhaust gas processing base material.SOLUTION: A cataLyst base material is an exhaust gas processing structure having a flowing characteristic being many in an exhaust gas flow of flowing in a central area 2 by comparing with an outside peripheral area 4 when constituting the outside peripheral area 4. The outside peripheral area 4 is the exhaust gas processing structure having a trapping substance or an adsorption substance on a surface of its flow passage, having the longer axial length than an inside area 2 or being narrower in an opening part 14 of the flow passage than the inside area 2. A protective film of including the trapping substance such as a hydrocarbon trap is coated on an inlet end 12. In the other, a catalyst of including an oxygen storage component is coated on an outlet end.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
【課題】内燃機関の排ガス系に設けられる排ガス処理用基材、及びこの排ガス処理用基材を含むシステムと方法の提供。【解決手段】触媒基材は、外側の周辺領域4を構成する際に、外側の周辺領域4と比較して、中央の領域2を流れる排ガス流が多い流れ特性を有する排ガス処理用構造体。外側の周辺領域4は、その流路の表面にトラッピング物質又は吸着物質を有し、内側の領域2に比べて長い軸長を有するか、内側の領域2に比べて、流路の開口部14を狭い排ガス処理用構造体。炭化水素トラップなどのトラッピング物質を含有する保護膜を入口端12に塗布する。他では、酸素貯蔵成分を含有する触媒を出口端に塗布する。【選択図】図1 |
