Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording medium conveying and reading device, capable of suppressing variation in the height of reading in comparison with a conveying path forming member opposite to a reading member with a device in which a conveying path forming member opposite to a reading member is integrally constructed as one member.SOLUTION: A recording medium conveying and reading device includes: a reading member that has a reading part reading an image; a first conveying path forming member that is opposite to the reading member, and has a first surface forming a conveying path for conveying the recording medium with the reading member; a second conveying path forming member that has a second surface forming the conveying path to the same side as the first conveying path forming member and forming the conveying path on a recording medium conveying direction upstream side of the first conveying path forming member, and a third surface forming the conveying path on a recording medium conveying direction downstream side of the first conveying path forming member; an energization member that energizes the first conveying path forming member to the reading member side so as to be movable to the second conveying path member; and a restriction part that restricts the movement of the first conveying path forming member so that a gap of the reading member and the first conveying path forming member becomes a predetermined distance.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 【課題】読取部材に対向する搬送路形成部材を一つの部材として一体に構成したものと比較して、読み取り高さの変動を抑制することができる記録媒体搬送読取装置を提供する。【解決手段】記録媒体搬送読取装置は、画像を読み取る読取部を有する読取部材と、前記読取部材に対向し、当該読取部材と共に記録媒体が搬送される際の搬送路を形成する第1の面を有する第1の搬送路形成部材と、前記第1の搬送路形成部材と同じ側に搬送路を形成し、当該第1の搬送路形成部材の記録媒体搬送方向上流側の搬送路を形成する第2の面と、当該第1の搬送路形成部材の記録媒体搬送方向下流側の搬送路を形成する第3の面と、を有する第2の搬送路形成部材と、前記第1の搬送路形成部材を前記第2の搬送路形成部材に対して移動可能に前記読取部材側へ付勢する付勢部材と、前記読取部材と前記第1の搬送路形成部材との間が予め定められた距離となるように前記第1の搬送路形成部材の移動を規制する規制部と、を有する。【選択図】図4
