Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure the control accuracy of VCT phase (valve timing control) during starting of an engine.SOLUTION: There are provided a first cam angle sensor for outputting a first cam angle signal under a timing in which a variation of VCT phase becomes low and a second cam angle sensor for outputting a second cam angle signal under a timing in which a variation of VCT phase becomes high. Then, an actual VCT phase at the time of low variation is calculated on the basis of the first cam angle signal and a crank angle signal under a timing in which the first cam angle sensor outputs the first cam angle signal during starting of an engine 11, a reference control amount of a variable valve timing device is calculated on the basis of the actual VCT phase and a target VCT phase at the time of this low variation. Further, the actual VCT phase at the time of large variation is calculated on the basis of the second cam angle signal and the crank angle signal under a timing in which the second cam angle sensor outputs the second cam angle signal, and an amount of correction of the reference control amount for each crank angle position on the basis of the actual VCT phase at the time of large variation and the actual VCT at the time of low variation.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 【課題】エンジン始動中のVCT位相(バルブタイミング制御)の制御精度を確保できるようにする。【解決手段】VCT位相の変動が小さくなるタイミングで第一のカム角信号を出力する第一のカム角センサとVCT位相の変動が大きくなるタイミングで第二のカム角信号を出力する第二のカム角センサを設ける。そして、エンジン11の始動中に第一のカム角センサが第一のカム角信号を出力するタイミングで第一のカム角信号とクランク角信号に基づいて変動小時の実VCT位相を算出し、この変動小時の実VCT位相と目標VCT位相とに基づいて可変バルブタイミング装置の基準制御量を算出する。更に、第二のカム角センサが第二のカム角信号を出力するタイミングで第二のカム角信号とクランク角信号に基づいて変動大時の実VCT位相を算出し、この変動大時の実VCT位相と変動小時の実VCT位相に基づいて各クランク角位置毎の基準制御量の補正量を算出する。【選択図】図3
