METHOD FOR DECORATING GLASS SURFACE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface decorating method for applying a pattern to glass, in which a unique color of lacquer and a reflection effect of light by metal powder or powder containing metal are added to transparent feeling that is an advantage of glass; and a glass product using the same.SOLUTION: A surface decorating method includes: subjecting a part of a surface of transparent glass to sandblast treatment so as to form a pattern on the surface, and thereby forming an engraving recessed portion of which the whole surface falls below the surface of the glass and the bottom is roughened; applying lacquer onto the surface of the glass containing the engraving recessed portion, wiping off the lacquer from the surface of the glass before the applied lacquer is cured and removing the lacquer from portions other than the engraving recessed portion; and then scattering metal powder or powder containing metal onto the lacquer remaining in the engraving recessed portion before the lacquer remaining in the engraving recessed portion is cured, and bonding the metal powder or the powder containing the metal to the lacquer. A glass product is decorated by the surface decorating method.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5 【課題】ガラスの長所である透明感に漆独自の色彩と、金属粉又は金属を含有する粉による光の反射効果を持たせた模様を施す表面加飾方法、またそれを用いたガラス製品を提供すること。【解決手段】透明なガラスの表面に模様を形成するように該表面の一部にサンドブラスト処理を施すことにより、その表面全体が該ガラスの表面より下降しており、その底部が粗面化された彫刻凹部を形成し、次いで、該彫刻凹部を含む該ガラスの表面に漆を塗布し、塗布した漆が硬化する前に該ガラスの表面から漆を拭き取って該彫刻凹部以外から漆を除去した後、該彫刻凹部に残存した漆が硬化する前に金属粉又は金属を含有する粉を該彫刻凹部に残存した漆の上に蒔いて付着させることを特徴とする表面加飾方法、及び、それによって加飾したものであることを特徴とするガラス製品。【選択図】図５
