Imaging condition adjustment processing is performed in parallel with imaging processing of forming images based on imaging information input to an image information input part in image output areas of photoreceptors 11y, 11c, 11m, and 11b. In the imaging condition adjustment processing, a y test toner image, c test toner image, m test toner image, and b test toner image are formed in non-image output areas at the ends in the rotation axis direction of the photoreceptors 11y, 11c, 11m, and 11b, and are page corresponding areas in a surface movement direction (sub scanning direction).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
【課題】作像条件調整処理で頁間領域を拡張することに起因する装置のダウンタイムの発生を抑える。【解決手段】次のような処理を実行するように、制御部を構成した。即ち、画像情報入力部に入力された画像情報に基づく画像を感光体11y,11c,11m,11bにおける画像出力領域に作像する作像処理と並行して、作像条件調整処理を実施する。そして、その作像条件調整処理において、yテストトナー像,cテストトナー像,mテストトナー像,bテストトナー像を、感光体11y,11c,11m,11bの回転軸線方向の端部にある非画像出力領域であって、且つ表面移動方向(副走査方向)における頁対応領域に作像する。【選択図】図1 |
