PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new and improved medium processing device that can achieve space-saving in a height direction.SOLUTION: The medium processing device comprises: a first storage part and a second storage part which store media; a conveyance path that conveys the media to the first storage part and the second storage part; and a switching part that switches between conveyance of the media to the first storage part by the conveyance path and conveyance of the media to the second storage part by the conveyance path. The first storage part and the second storage part are arranged in a horizontal direction, the first storage part comprises a first media inlet for receiving the media from the conveyance path, and the second storage part comprises a second media inlet for receiving the media from the conveyance path.
