PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a user-friendly washing machine.SOLUTION: A washing machine includes: a washing tub provided in a housing; a rotary vane provided at a bottom part of the washing tub; a top cover formed at an upper part of the housing; and a lid that pivots about a rotary shaft for opening backward when putting in/taking out laundry. The top cover has a lateral upper surface part which vertically overlaps with both left and right sides of the lid when the lid is closed, a front upper surface part which vertically overlaps with a front side of the lid when the lid is closed, and a front end upper surface part which is the front side of the front upper surface part, and which is exposed without vertically overlapping with the lid even when the lid is closed, and operation parts are provided both on the front upper surface part and the front end upper surface part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 【課題】使用者にとって使いやすい洗濯機を提供する。【解決手段】筺体内に設けられる洗濯槽と、前記洗濯槽内の底部に設けられる回転翼と、前記筺体の上部に形成されるトップカバーと、洗濯物を出し入れする際に回動軸を支点として後方へ開く蓋と、を備えた洗濯機において、前記トップカバーは、前記蓋を閉じたときに前記蓋の左右両側と鉛直方向に重なる横上面部と、前記蓋を閉じたときに前記蓋の前側と鉛直方向に重なる前上面部と、この前上面部の前側であって前記蓋を閉じたときも前記蓋と鉛直方向に重ならずに露出する前端上面部と、を有し、前記前上面部と前記前端上面部との両方に、操作部が設けられる。【選択図】図３
