SHEET DELIVERY MECHANISM AND SHEET PROCESSING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet delivery mechanism and a sheet processing device capable of shortening processing time by dropping foreign objects such as coins or clips held among sheets when the sheets to be delivered from the outside of the casing of the sheet processing device into the inside are placed on a stacking part in a stacked state to a place where no placing part is provided, thus enabling the delivery operation of the sheets to continue without removing the foreign objects.SOLUTION: The sheet delivery mechanism (e.g., paper money delivery mechanism 40) for delivering sheets one by one includes a placing part 48 on which sheets to be delivered are placed in a stacked state, and a delivery part (e.g., delivery belt 42) for delivering the sheets placed on the placing part 48.
