Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radiation image conversion panel of a high luminance and sharpness by forming, as a phosphor layer, a columnar crystal that is entirely (including its base) made of a crystalline material.SOLUTION: The radiation image conversion panel includes: a support body 1B; and a phosphor layer that is formed by a vapor phase deposition method and is mainly made of alkali halide. The phosphor layer includes a plurality of domains each of which is formed of a plurality of phosphor columnar crystals 2B. Each domain is a single phosphor columnar crystal 2B or an aggregate of phosphor columnar crystals 2B that has substantially the same crystal orientation, and has an average diameter of 0.2-10 μm.
