FIXING METHOD OF BEARING TO COLUMN TUBE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing method of a bearing to a column tube with which there is no need to provide a dissimilar hole in the column tube and the bearing can be surely fixed to the column tube even when a turn signal lamp switch or the like is added in a tip of the column tube.SOLUTION: A fixing method of bearing to column tube includes the steps of: holing a bearing 200 in an inner periphery of a column tube 100 having a window hole 120 in a side wall; and caulking and deforming an end edge 121 of the window hole 120 by moving a jig 300 inserted from the window hole 120 to an axial direction of the column tube 100 and fixing the bearing 200 by the deformed end edge 121.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 【課題】コラムチューブに異形孔を設ける必要がなく、また、コラムチューブの先端にターンシグナルスイッチ等が付属している場合であっても、コラムチューブにベアリングを確実に固定することができる方法を提供する。【解決手段】側壁に窓孔１２０を有するコラムチューブ１００の内周にベアリング２００を保持する工程と、上記窓孔１２０から挿入した治具３００を上記コラムチューブ１００の軸方向に移動させることにより上記窓孔１２０の端縁１２１をかしめ変形させ、当該変形させた端縁１２１により上記ベアリング２００を固定する工程と、を含む。【選択図】 図４
