Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic recording device whose reliability is enhanced by assisting magnetic flux reversal which is determined by a product of an electric field and magnetic field and decreasing the critical value of the product of the electric field and magnetic field.SOLUTION: The magnetic recording device includes a substrate; a first recording medium layer which is formed on the substrate and mainly contains an antiferromagnetic material and a ferrimagnetic material all having electromagnetic effect, or a combination thereof; a second recording medium layer which is formed on the first recording medium layer, to which magnetic information recorded on the first recording layer is transferred and generates magnetization intensity sufficient for reading, and which mainly contains a ferromagnetic material; an electric field application device for applying an electric field to the recording medium; and a magnetic field application device for applying a magnetic field to the recording medium. In the magnetic recording device, a radio wave of a microwave region is applied to the recording medium in addition to the application of the electric field and the magnetic field.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
