Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet recording device which does not give a bad use feeling to a user, and a control method for the same.SOLUTION: In performing recovery processing of a predetermined quantity for recovering a recording performance of an ink jet recording head, when a recording command is inputted during performance of the recovery processing, it is determined whether the recovery processing is suspended according to the state of a factor which affects the recording performance of the ink jet recording head and the recovery processing is suspended.
